Quick Tips from Sherie
Always ask your client if they've been on safari before. A first-timer needs a very different experience to a repeat visitor — and getting this wrong is the fastest way to lose a referral.
Don't just sell the Big Five. Clients who come back year after year are the ones who fell in love with the whole ecosystem — the birds, the plants, the guides, the silence.
The best safari camps sell out 12–18 months in advance. If a client is serious, get them booked early. Waiting for 'the right time' usually means missing out entirely.
Learn one destination deeply before spreading yourself thin. Clients can tell the difference between an advisor who has read a brochure and one who actually knows the bush.
